The Power of Inspiration: A Soldier's Story

The Power of Inspiration: A Soldier's Story

Okay, here's another tear-jerker for those of you who need a little inspiration...  My husband met this young woman last year at an event which I did not attend. I did get to meet and speak with her this past weekend and here's her story...

A beautiful girl walked into our booth and saw my husband who burst into tears and hugged him like he was her Savior. Apparently, he was...in a way...

I was busy with other customers but I was able to hear some of their conversations.  After I was through, I was introduced to her by my hubby... This girl was ex-military and had suffered a very bad accident and was lucky to be walking. She met Jack last year and bought a shirt and it has changed her life and the lives of her other wounded soldier friends to a point we could never realize.

Once she met me, she hugged and kissed me and told me that I married an Angel (I know I did, as he saved me as well) and how lucky I am and what a wonderful man he is. How he inspired her to keep going and that it could always be worse, and how his words and a simple shirt she bought a year ago saved not only her but a dear friend of hers from well, the worst.

She was having a terrible day one day a while back and, of all things, a Fukitt business card fell out of her wallet and dropped to the floor! She read the card, went to our website, saw our blogs and re-watched our videos and got inspired. The terrible day that could have been her last turned out to be a much better one. Wow! Talk about saving a life and you didn't even know it!  Unbelievably humbled by this...

Apparently, one of her friends was in a bad way, a wounded soldier, PTSD, physical injuries, etc., and he went to talk to her..she pulled out her hot pink t-shirt made him read it and made him wear it! He did and didn't take it off!  She said it saved his life. Wowzers all over again!!

She stayed a while talking with us, mostly my husband and she couldn't help but to keep crying, bringing us both to tears, and giving us hugs and kisses because of the impact we had on her life and the lives of people she loves.

I know I must sound like a broken record because I say it all the time, but we couldn't be more humbled and blessed by these stories. We are grateful that we, and our mission can touch the lives of so many in such a strong way. God bless you all and thank you for your service and continued support.

Cheers,
Kristen
