Beer, Bourbon & BBQ 2018 - National Harbor, MD [Video]

Early Friday morning around 10:00 AM, I arrived at the office to handle some last minute additions before heading to National Harbor, Maryland. By 11:00 AM, it was time to hit the road and Ricardo and I had a 4-hour drive ahead of us. Now, I know what you're thinking, "4 hours?! That's insane!" But actually, the ride went by pretty fast even with the mass amount of traffic.

We jammed out to oldies to get us pumped for the day. We arrived around 3:30 PM and set up our booth in a breeze. The event started at 6:00 PM and by 6:01 PM the crowd rolled in; thirsty and eager to sample bottomless beer and bourbon. Oh! Did I mention there was a large roasted pig?

Day one was awesome! The weather was warm, the energy was high and the drinks were cold. There was a giant beach ball that everyone was kicking around and I myself couldn't help but take it several times to put it in front of our booth. Ricardo actually had the awesome idea and recreated the look of Atlas.

We ran into so many familiar faces and met so many new ones. It was a fun day but as the night came and day one was coming to an end, Ricardo and I still had the energy to burn. We ended up hitting a local bar not too far from the event. It was a typical bar but filled with people dressed in their best. Meanwhile, we walked in with casual clothes and sneakers. The bar was beautiful, it had an outside section with a light net from each street out front that deflected off each car in passing.

If you think that's cool, after heading back into the bar, we couldn't help but notice to our right was a giant mechanical bull. So, as you can imagine, for the first time ever, I rode a bull! They went too easy on me, so I didn't get thrown off, but hey it was an awesome experience! After all the fun and games, we headed back to the hotel to get some rest for day two.

Early Saturday morning, I woke up and went down to get us some breakfast. Of course, I grabbed almost everything they had to offer and brought it back up to the room. While eating, I checked the weather to see what we would be dealing with today. Turns out we were looking at some hot weather with temperatures in the high 90's. After applying sunscreen, tanning lotion and getting ready, we headed down for day 2.

We stopped to get some coffee and couldn't help but notice an isle of statues, We had some time to spare so we got some quick photos in.

Once we arrived at the event, the sun was radiating the perfect amount of heat and breeze. Day two was just as much fun as day one, only we didn't get to play with the giant beach ball. This time we set up our speakers and jammed out to loud music with our guests. The day went by fast because it was so busy, but it was fun as usual. As day two came to an end, we started packing up, for our 4-hour trip back home. Needless to say, we had an awesome time at National Harbor Maryland and can't wait to go back!

Thank you to everyone for the continued support and love, we appreciate all of you!! Hope to see you at the next event!

Cheers!
Angela over and out.
