After 40 Years of Marriage

Well, there it was...the Blizzard of 2016! "Blizzardzilla" as some were calling it. The tri state area was bombarded with over 2 feet of snow. State of emergency was called in all states affected and everything was shut down; schools, businesses, grocery stores, malls, everything. My job, (I am a bartender for those of you who don't know) was cancelled Saturday due to the State of Emergency. So, when I finally got back in on my Monday shift, as usual, my regulars came in for happy hour. (This place is like Cheers, same people, same bar stools, same drinks, and they are all friends, for the most part). Two regulars in particular were having a conversation about how they made out...

The Storm is Brewing

Well, for those of you who live in the Tri-State area, we are being bombarded with threats of a terrible blizzard like storm approaching. The news and weather channels are having a field day trying to scare us all! Hurry up, run to the store now and buy everything you need, get your milk, eggs, and bread, make sure your car has gas, you have a shovel and plenty of salt to melt the ice! When we met, it was through a mutual friend, and they just stopped by the booth just to say hello. After speaking with them, and telling them what our brand was about and what and...

Taking a Night Off from Work

Yup, that's right folks! I have decided to take a Friday night off from work to go on a date with my husband and go out with friends to a few bars and see a few bands, eat some good food, have a few drinks, dance a little. This, for me, is a very different thing! For those of you who don't know, I still sling drinks behind a bar at a nice steak house. It's something I fell back into after 18 years as a paralegal, and it's something I enjoy. Hustle! That's what we do!

Back in the Swing of Things

It feels like forever, and then again, like just yesterday when we vended at the last convention of the year before the hiatus of Christmas time. We have one more weekend off until we are on our way to the DC Tattoo Convention where we will get to see our extended family of friends and supporters who we haven't seen in a few months. Exciting times! While the little break was good for the mind, body and soul, allowing us to recuperate and prepare for the new season, it will be good to be back at the grind and getting our new gear out there to the public and see what's in store for us this year!
