I wasn't really sure what to blog about today. Last weeks event, nope covered it a little; this upcoming weekend's event, nope got that too...what to write about?! Hmmmm, I had no clue until I looked down at my pup, sleeping in her bed right next to me, and realized how lucky I am.
For those of you who don't really know who we are, here's a glimpse into our lives...
My husband and I have the opportunity to work from home and make our own schedule. (I am currently doing loads of laundry, while marinating a pork tenderloin for dinner, while the TV is on for background noise, while watching our 2 dogs sleep, while typing this blog). This is something I truly love and is one of my favorite things! After commuting 146 miles a day for 16 years, this is a breath of fresh air! Favorite thing #2.
Our dogs, a chubby, lazy, sweetest English Labrador Retriever, blonde in color, laying in her bed, snoring right next to me, and a hyper, crazy hunter of a Siberian Husky, 2 blue eyes, who is also a lover girl, laying right here staring out the back door waiting for a bird or squirrel to pass by! My Favorite things #3.
Our cats, siblings, Samson, a 26lb, not a fat cat, just a big boy, who's in the cabinet over the fridge sleeping, biggest pain in my butt if there is any type of food out, he's right there to try to get it no matter what it is, and his sister Delilah, she's smaller and only 16lbs, but a big girl, and only loves me, sleeping right here on my desk, she's a punk and talk soooo much, and demands I brush her several times a day! My Favorite things #4.
(And pause to go fold the laundry....) Favorite thing #5...no, not the folding laundry part, but the fact that I can stop working and go do it.
Okay, that was exciting! Not! But back to my favorite things..where was I? Oh yeah, my job, as in my actual job with Fukitt Clothing. As I mentioned before, I get to work from home and make my own schedule. (This is usually good, but sometimes bad, in that, if something has to get done, we work until the very late hours of the night, like last night, it was 10:30 p.m. before we were able to stop and eat dinner! But, hey, stuff had to get done! And did). Not that part of the job though, the part where I get to travel to different parts of this Country, meet different people and hear their amazing stories and share what we are about and what our brand stands for. Touching lives and inspiring others. Favorite thing #6.
I can list about a million things that are my favorite things...(oohh, I forgot CHOCOLATE, DARK CHOCOLATE...pause, gonna go grab some.. Favorite thing #7...)....but probably the one thing that's my absolute favorite, is my husband. Yup, I'm getting corny on you guys, but we just had our 2 year wedding anniversary the other day, and it doesn't seem like it's been 2 years. 2 years is a long time, but, time does truly fly when you're having fun. It feels like yesterday, we were on our honeymoon. We've done and accomplished so much, yet it feels like no time has passed. I guess happiness does that to people...My Favorite thing #1! Bet you were wondering why I started with #2...
So, basically, that's my day in a nutshell and the things that make my days wonderful...look around at the little things and remember that they make you happy..don't take any of it for granted, even if it's a wet puppy kiss, or a head but from your kitty, a load of laundry you have to fold for your family, or dinner you have to cook for your loved ones. It all usually is surrounded by love of some sort, even it it gets to be too much at times, take a breath, mush that pup and enjoy every moment!!!
