Motivational Monday...OK...

Everyone has a story to tell...where they have been, what they have done, who they know, what they have gone through...this past weekend, we were at Shamrock Fest in DC...Not that everyone didn't have a great story to share with us, but these two touched my heart...

I first met this energetic, young Filipino boy who loved the brand and everything about it. (He actually had one of our older wristbands on). He was telling me his story of how suicide touched his life personally. He was a survivor. 2008 changed his life. He is backed by a great group of friends who support and love him. His friend bought the shirt that says "Love every moment"...Appropriate, huh? To see this kid, you would never know he had any struggles going on in his young life. I didn't ask any details, but I did encouraged him and told him, it COULD always be worse...he knows that now and takes his life one day at a time with a smile on his face. To know that something as simple as a wristband this kid can look at on his wrist if he's having a bad day to remind him, feels awesome to us! Keep up the good work kid...and if you're reading this, we're here for you! (Everyone has a story to tell, and we'll gladly listen)...

Now, let me tell you about this adorable lady...her English wasn't that great, but her husband translated most of our conversation...She loved our company and all the positive messages on our shirts, but the one she bought had a special meaning to her. It was the saying and the color. The shirt says "Never Give Up", and the color is breast cancer pink. She was a breast cancer survivor, and the day this picture was taken, was the first time she had a drink in 7 years! She loved the company name and the play on words, and absolutely loved the saying on the shirt and was planning on wearing it at a walk she was doing in a few weeks...she said, "Never give up...because you can't"...She wouldn't be here today if she gave up and let a terrible disease take control. Instead she didn't give up on herself, and made it through! (Like I said, everyone has a story, and we're happy to listen)...

So, remember boys and girls, everyone DOES have a story..I have mine, you have yours...no two people have the same story, but one meaning can mean a lot to many people in different ways. So, here's to you all, the survivors, the warriors, the soldiers, the sad, depressed, scared, confused, the heartbroken..to everyone who has a battle in their life and needs a little pick me up...we're glad we can touch your lives and remind you, Never Give Up..on anything, hopes, dreams, life, love.

Woot Woot. My man! “energetic, young Fillipino.” XD Got that right! And we’ll keep him that way. Happy through life’s ups and downs!
