Start Day One Fundraiser at Garden State Distillery
We are going live during our charity fundraiser at the Garden State Distillery, a proud supporter of Start Day One, where they will be donating 20% of proceeds throughout the day of the event!
October 24, 2020
Saturday @ 2:00 PM -11:00 PM ET
We will be interviewing Rick Norman, the owner of Garden State Distillery, to talk about his inspirational story along with other people to discuss different aspects of mental health.
We're also going to be doing a live tour of the distillery to show you how they've partnered with the best farmers, distillers, and bartenders in the industry to produce the best spirits around.
Please join us at our event! Not only will you be able to support our cause with mental health and suicide prevention, but you will also be supporting the local surrounding businesses.

Start Day One is a non-profit foundation for mental health and suicide prevention, which has a different approach to helping people by proactively reaching out instead of reactively waiting for mental health issues or suicidal tendencies.
Our mission is to help people change their perspective from dreaming of “one day” to start living “day one”.

Most organizations have a reactive approach where they WAIT until you have suicidal tendencies. We believe in a more proactive approach to helping people by reaching out BEFORE they get mental issues or suicidal tendencies.
Ricardo J. Zulueta, Jr., co-founder of Start Day One, lost his brother to suicide. He learned from that experience that people don’t get suicidal tendencies simply because of bad situations; it's their perspectives.
We believe that true suicide prevention requires a more proactive approach by interacting and inspiring people before they begin complaining, abusing drugs or alcohol, or being suicidal. We need to change people’s perspectives.
By changing their perspectives to make a decision to be more accountable for their happiness, people's mentality is less likely to evolve into mental issues.
Most places only invite public motivational speakers or counselors to their venue AFTER someone has already committed suicide. This doesn't make any sense. We should be doing this BEFORE suicidal tendencies occur.
We raise funds to send speakers to different venues like schools, military bases, rehab centers, or events to inspire people and change their perspective to maintain a healthier mindset.
We capture and produce inspirational content to spread awareness about our approach to suicide prevention.
We will also be providing affordable life coaching services to help people with their mindset that will allow them to live better lives.
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but with your help, we can inspire people to start day one and make a new ending.
