Make a New Ending

New Year -

Make a New Ending

Happy New Year 2016 from Fükitt Clothing
I seem to always resort to this quote during this time of the year because it feels like the perfect reminder for the proper mindset to start the new year. It's funny how sometimes the most simple change in perspective can really alter your way of thinking.

We all tend to wish we can have a "do-over" so that we can either 1) erase some regrets or 2) have more time to accomplish our goals...and then life can be perfect, right? But we can't go back and start a new beginning... People sabotage themselves with regret from their mistakes or with the overwhelming frustration from their limited amount of time. We are haunted by the "what-ifs" of our past decisions.

It's not a problem to look back at your past if your goal is to learn from it and find a solution. But when you are just complaining by dwelling on the past because your present condition does not meet your expectations, then you're in trouble.

The most important thing to focus on is your purpose. Because most of the time, even when there are obstacles in your way, your purpose remains the same. It's very frustrating when things do not go as planned but sometimes the struggle is what corrects your performance.

For example, instead of making a resolution to go to the gym 5 days a week, your purpose should be to have a healthier lifestyle so that you can lose the weight to enjoy more things out of life. Even if you miss the gym a couple of times, you're not going to feel frustration or guilt, which is how resolutions become obstacles. Your purpose will give you a better meaning as to why you make certain decisions and take different actions.

Anybody can start today and make a new ending. The advantage of the "New Year" mentality is that it gives you the opportunity to evaluate a one-year segment of your life. Things may not have turned out as planned but you need to learn to accept your current situation and adjust yourself to achieve other goals based on the ultimate be happy.

Take advantage of this "new year" and accept what you can not change and change what you can not accept! Thank you for your support throughout the year and we look forward to interacting with you more in 2017! We wish all of you have a very prosperous and happy new year!
